Integrated Bridge System Console for the destroyers (AWD) of Royal Australian Navy:
• Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of the third unit
• Remittance of the second unit to Australia
On 3 of March, Sainsel successfully completed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of the third Integrated Bridge System Console (IBSC) for the destroyers of the Royal Australian Navy AWD program.
This is the last Integrated Bridge System Console of the total of three which were requested by Australian shipyard ASC.
The examination was developed in the presence of Sainsel’s engineers as well as a Quality Assurance representative of ASC which was supervising the test of Sainsel.
As, on 23 September 2013, the Acceptance Test was passed, on 5 March 2014 the second IBSC could be sent to its destination.
The dispatch was delayed due to the long process of obtaining a licence for exportation of this kind of material.
The console design has been based on the system which was provided for the frigates F-100 for the Spanish Navy. Sainsel has supplied the consoles fully wired and with all the components integrated, thereby facilitating the set-up works at the shipyard in Adelaide (Australia).
