Sainsel has an Integrated Navigation System (INS), which aims to increase navigation safety by providing increased and integrated functions to avoid geographical, navigation, or environmental hazards. Combining and integrating functions and information provides added value for the operator to plan, monitor, and control the safety of navigation and the progress of the ship.

Integrity monitoring is an intrinsic function of the INS. The INS supports navigation safety by evaluating the inputs from various data sources, combining them to provide the necessary information to create appropriate alerts in the system.

The Integrated Navigation Systems INS of Sainsel fully complies with the International Standard IEC 61924-2: 2021 based on IMO resolution MSC.452 (83), amended by IMO resolution MSC.452 (99). Currently, it is in the process of obtaining the corresponding Type-Approval.

It consists of 5 multifunction modules, where is distributed the visualization of the following graphic modules:

WECDIS

According to the latest IMO regulations and the STANAG 4564 Ed 3.0. WECDIS can be showed in any of the multifunctional positions, allowing navigation without paper charts on board according to SOLAS regulations.

X-Band and S-Band Navigation RADAR

The Radar HMI interface developed by Sainsel complies with IMO MSC.192(79) resolution, and it is compatible with the most important navigation radar platforms on the market.

Navigation Control Data

This module shows the information about the Navigation Data selected by the INS in a simple, smart, and modular way. It establishes a classification between the manual control data and the automatic control of the ship movement. Also it shows MSI, AIS (safety-related and binary), and AIS-ASM secure messaging data.

Status and Data Display

It allows to show information about different systems and interfaces of the ship in a simple and modular way, allowing the operator to select the arrangement of other data groups. It can also set the INS configuration such as the thresholds alerts, the prioritization of sensors, the color schemes, or the layout of the own ship and the CCRP.

Central Alert Management (CAM)

The CAM communicates with the rest of the devices and applications that act as a source of alerts, receiving alerts from them and sending back actions related to the alerts generated, offering the possibility of managing all active alerts of the system, being possible to silence or recognize them. Complies with IMO resolution MSC.302 (87).
